My mother and I are alone in Cairo. I can’t leave her here. I’ve called the UK embassy and they have offered me nothing. Every day I am away from my work, my patients lives are at risk. I need to bring my mother with me to England. Why is this inhumane policy adopted.

Massive thank you to your incredible midwives and maternity services who helped us welcome our baby boy into the world on good friday. Despite significant staffing challenges and closure to further admissions that day, my care was outstanding and we had a quick turnaround 👏⭐️
While many people enjoy Easter with their family and friends, this is just a normal weekend at work for many staff across the NHS. Thank you to everyone working this Bank Holiday, both in our hospitals and across the community, to continue providing care for our patients 💙

Easter weekend brought us the true celebration of "new life" when our hearts and family grew as we welcomed our gorgeous BOY into the world 💙 Rupert Geoffrey Johnson you are so loved. Huge Thank You @YSTeachingNHS maternity services for the outstanding care we both received.

Agree. Perhaps a clinical / non-clinical split would be appropriate? Whilst we rely on our non-clinical staff there is a vast difference in demand, expectations, responsibility and CPD/training between a nurse and say NHS PR/marketing executive. That should be reflected in pay
The pay offer is a disgrace in itself but the idea of a spine point just for nurses is divisive and insulting to our AHP colleagues.

1/ There's a lot of talk around patient safety & care, or lack of. Last month I unexpectedly experienced the #NHS from the other side - as a patient rather than Paramedic. I thought I understood the challenges/pressures, but I wasn't ready to experience just how bad things are

Today we said goodbye to our fantastic 3rd year student. Emily - you've taken full lists, been proactive, positive and always light up the office with your smile. It's been wonderful to watch you grow and you will be an amazing nurse. I hope our paths cross again 😊

Working late to write a letter of clinical support for a patient with advanced dementia to maintain continuity of her care provider of the last 3yrs, because CHC refuse to fund them. In the 21st century realms of person-centred and holistic care this is simply mind blowing... 🤯

To all those not receiving their desired A Level results - I was once in your shoes! It felt like failure at the time, but my consequent year out was the best thing that could have happened to me and opened so many more doors than I could ever have imagined. Keep faith

Tragic news The latest @CornwallInsight prediction, based on Ofgem's new methodology, is an 81% price cap rise in Oct (taking typical bill to £3,582/yr) and a further 19% in Jan (so £4,266/yr) Action & planning is needed now. The zombie govt needs wake up sooner than 5 Sept...

5hrs to arrange a Community rehab bed... multiple calls, 3 separate handovers, transport issues, strict cut offs. Immensely frustrating at a time when clinical capacity is more precious than ever. Surely we can streamline this service? @stephlawrence5 @Thea_Stein @carolinemac50
