‘researchers often forget that there is no such thing as a creativity test. Tests provide only estimates of creative potential. Authentic creative behavior requires spontaneity, so if a student is required to take a test, the result is not really indicative of “creativity.”

@DrLizStafford The idea of a general music education (music making and thinking in context) with scope for critical thought about music continues to be marginalised by the idea of making musicians through instrumental training.

What about the music education workforce? Many commentators have been vocal in the ongoing problems and issues. They remain in abundance. Without a skilled, trained, and loyal workforce the NPME will be doomed. I see little evidence in the new plan of its importance. /20
