We have many great JMC this year at @mcgillu. Here's one with a JMP that is truly amazing (Kefan Chen). In "Growth at the Margin: Political Incentives and Firm Behavior in China" he studies a crucial feature of China’s economic governance and development, GDP growth targets.

Check out my newest YouTube playlist walking through the process of producing a structural model!
I just posted a new 8-video YT playlist covering the process of producing an empirical structural model. In each video, I go through a (contrived) example of each step in hopes of elucidating the process. https://t.co/cVC0est14W

Glad this paper with @guido_imbens is out in the JEP. The LaLonde paper has had a big impact on my academic journey and continues to teach us about the challenges and possibilities of conducting credible inference using nonexperimental data. https://t.co/XqSsjvYYwU Many thanks

Thanks Ryan! Building https://t.co/9lIlIx35GO depends on two tools almost all economists are inefficiently underutilizing. 1. Agentic coding 2. Agentic scraping Agentic coding is the use of tools like Codex/Claude Code/Cursor to write code. I've been using agentic coding tools
This is a cool example of digital public goods facilitated by LLMs. We’ve all long wanted this tool, but it was probably hard to maintain. I assume the LLMs are doing the work on the backend to make it feasible for @aniketapanjwani to build this quickly, update, and distribute
