An incredible example of ownership and taking responsibility. Much respect for how he handled this.
An emotional Jakobi Meyers said he was “trying to do too much and trying to be a hero” on the final play. Said he knew the score was tied and the play didn’t call for a lateral.

I have so much respect for Coach Ken as a man and as a ball coach. A positive impact on the lives of 1000’s of young men and a credit to the game of football.
On a personal note, Niumatalolo is one of the nicest guys in the business. Navy being so open with media and Niumatalolo being so upfront and honest about things gave everyone great insight into the program and it was better for that.
