A 58 year old mother from Ireland ended her life at a euthanasia clinic in Switzerland after telling her children she was going on holiday. Her daughter learned of her mother’s death via a text from the clinic and her ashes were sent in a jar in the post.

The number of 16-24 year olds who are not in employment, education or training (Neets) is rising, with 948,000 young people across Britain classed as Neets by the end of June, according to the ONS. The number of female Neets in the three month to June rose by 25,000 to 450,000.
