In 1941, San José State traveled by boat to Hawai’i to play 2 postseason bowl games. Pearl Harbor was hit on December 7, and the games were never played. Several SJSU players helped in recovery efforts, helping the injured and even delivering babies. Some stayed in Hawai’i full
