We must learn from those who have led the establishment of infrastructure to combat global terrorism, cyberattacks, nuclear proliferation. The reality is antiscience is now killing more Americans than all those other things combined

But it’s not too late, we can and must create an interagency action between Departments HHS, Homeland Security, Commerce, Justice, and State. The point is now the antiscience empire has strength size and reach going way beyond the health sector. We need a different kind of advice

Now at least there is some acknowledgment that there’s a problem, but even now few are willing to get out there and identify the 3 heads of this highly evolved and evil antiscience empire, that’s what I’ve done

Tragically the empire was not established overnight, it built up and evolved over many years. It was enabled in part by USG + DHHS (going back several administrations) refusal to sound the alarm and launch a counteroffensive. I spent a part of my career saying this day would come

Receiving daily emails from distressed vaccinated individuals who cannot convince their loved ones to get the COVID19 vaccine. Most often older parents of an adult, sometimes pregnant daughter, or adolescent. The antiscience disinformation empire has caused a national tragedy

The risk of death from Covid among kids is very low, but it isn’t zero. That’s why if your kid is 12 or above, it’s important they get vaccinated to protect themselves and people around them. Vaccination is proven safe and effective for adolescents.

The drop in cases and deaths occurred following start of vaccinations as been reversed in the UK by the delta variant. Hospitalizations are on the rise in many states the US, and it appears almost all are unvaccinated. Deaths will like rise here as well. Please get vaccinated.

I cannot imagine that we’re going to let a small and unreasonable minority hold back our economy and trash our healthcare system this fall. Vaccine passports now.

Did republicans: 1. just now realize their voters are going to die in massive numbers? 2. get warnings from lawyers about possible lawsuits over spreading Covid deza? 3. get calls from rich donors when the stock market tanked telling them to encourage vaccinations?

My niece is an anti-vaxxer. She's now in ICU on full oxygen with Covid. Please wear your masks!

People are looking at the percent of vaccinated hospitalizations and getting alarmed. But by itself, this number can't tell you much about how the vaccines are working, as it's highly dependent on the rate of vaccination in a community. Here's some maths to show what I mean👇🏽

I'm kind of tired of people saying that COVID has a 99% survival rate so we shouldn't fear monger. The world population is 7.9 billion. Are all these people really OK with millions of people dying if we do the math? I'm not.

@KPN1 The vast majority of unvaccinated adults in American are qualified to get vaccinated, including most people on immunosuppressant drugs. Certainly not 100%, but the vast majority.

@delmoi @chrislhayes Over 300,000 unvaccinated Americans dies of COVID-19 in 2021, in comparison. As for tracking breakthrough cases: Incorrect. Excellent data from the UK, and Canada = the vaccines work.

@Zinnsgh0st Delta is certainly more transmissible. It is not less deadly. It may be more deadly. Appears to have 1000 times more viral load, which probably increases virulence. Muller’s ratchet is irrelevant here. I say that having done my PhD on RNA viral genetics and published on it.
