Thanks to @FEASTireland for a fabulous ‘Food for Thought’ workshop where industrial farming, food miles, supermarket tactics, food waste and ways to combat it at home, were discussed. Students even got to taste oysters, granola, sourdough bread and banana & onion skin chutney!

Video Exclusive: when you see 'responsible' Scottish salmon in supermarkets such as @sainsburys & @tesco - even fish branded as 'organic' @SoilAssociation & greenwashed @rspcaassured & @ASC_aqua - it can be sourced from parasite-infested feedlots like this one @MowiScotlandLtd

Fantastic workshop from @FEASTireland generating plenty of discussion around farmed and foraged foods, the traditions of making staples like bread and butter. Wonderful opportunity for students to learn more about wild pheasants and they all enjoyed the flavour. #foodsystems

Lots of discussions on food sustainability, where our food comes from and a great opportunity for students to taste game meat which they all enjoyed with their freshly baked rolls and butter that they also made.

At Lusca vineyard, deleafing around the bunches of our Rondo grapes is complete. Lets air and sun at the fruit, for health and quality. Exceptional crop this year and 🤞 for a very good vintage. Grapes colouring well, expecting full ripeness early October. #IrishWine

Someone complained on Facebook about the wild raspberries being harmful for their child. Rather than educate people on edible foods with a sign, the local council have cut back all the lovely raspberry bushes instead. I’m so disappointed right now 🥺
