Someone complained on Facebook about the wild raspberries being harmful
for their child. Rather than educate people on edible foods with a sign, the local council have cut back all the lovely raspberry bushes instead.

When I moved home in 2019, a broken shell of a person, single parent to 3 kids, I tired joining a local hiking group to make friends & find a hobby for myself. The lady running the local hiking group interviewed me. Yes INTERVIEWED me, for the hiking group. 🧵

I’ve since done level 1 mountaineering course & first aid. And I’ve also learned to share some wonderful places off the beaten track with clients. It’s also thought me it costs nothing to be kind! You never know what someone’s going through! Don’t be a dick.

A curious little oddity in Macroom, I think perhaps it was a bathhouse (a changing room for ladies taking a river dip from Lady Ardilaun’s time) but I’m open to correction! I love how it’s perched neatly on rocks.
It could do with some TLC to secure it for generations to come.

It started off badly as she gave out to me for being late for said ‘interview’. I’d been waiting at the front of a restaurant & didn’t see her in the back. I had to ask restaurant staff where she was, but I already knew by her face we were off to a bad start.
