Mexico begging an aging Carlos Vela to come back.
The USMNT rehiring a coach with active feuds with multiple players.
Canada on the verge of bankruptcy and not even playing games in international windows.
North America setting the example 🤝
You telling me a player this naturally talented could only get 50 minutes across four games when we were struggling to create chances? Really???
#USMNT
One of the better moments of yesterdays slightly disappointing performance? Just one word. “Turn”. That’s what Tim Ream yelled across a 20 yard divide to CP, which prompted a puli turn and his defender drew a yellow. Ream wasn’t just good himself, he was good for the team.
#USMNT
Pretty amazing to me that 3 months ago Sergino Dest was training in a Barcelona basement, being told he wasn’t wanted or good enough. But Dest never stopped believing in himself, got a move out, and just assisted the knockout deciding goal. Life is long… never give up 💫

This is 100% my Puskas award winner this year.
What Garnacho did was amazing, but getting a nutmeg slim angle rabona goal is just the next level of unreal. We’ve seen crazy bikes before, but this is a different beast 👀
I went to my first US/Mexico soccer game. US won Dos a Cero.
Game ends, Mexico fans start throwing beer. Someone threw a battery?beer can? who can tell for sure. Bleeding profusely, run to the first aid station. Five staples later, I have an awesome war story.

People will gloss over it but that Emi Martinez save vs Kolo Muani at 120 minutes won argentina the World Cup. They aren’t even in penalties without it.
I would be completely ok with him being entirely left off the roster next window. This is bigger than a simple lapse of judgement. He blatantly went against ALL his teammates. Cmon Dest.
Might need to change my profile header.
Imagine loaning and telling a player “you aren’t good enough we are selling you” after BARELY playing a natural striker at winger that you spent a club record transfer fee on, only for him to “shockingly” do well and now you reverse your entire stance. Augsburg is a joke.

Stop the MLS quota. That’s all I’m going to say. It’s so blatantly clear the talent differences between our guys in Europe and the rest. Unacceptable substitutions from Berhalter. Where was Gio?
EITHER
1) You stay humble, play hard and work to the final whistle and be grateful for some fortunate moments that didn’t go against you.
OR
2) You do this sort of cirque du soleil performance and you better beat the daylight out of your opponent.
The USWNT did neither.
“John Brooks is too old” “Gio Reyna is too cocky and immature” “Pepi is too disrespectful to Gregg” With this mentality my question is WHERE IS OUR NEXT CYCLE GRIT AND MIND GAMES GOING TO COME FROM. Because other teams wont stop. It’s not just yes men.
High chance we see this technical baller in the national team next year. Taylor Booth has that wow factor when he takes on players, and he’s only going to continue to develop his game
#USMNT
Weah benched, Aaronson heading towards the bench, dest benched. These 3 players are going through a rough patch, but THIS is why the
#USMNT
roster should be mostly Euro based players. You can’t afford to be comfortable in Europe. No complacency. Fight for your spot or be passed.
It’s quite frustrating to see the official USMNT page would just rather retweet MLS Content instead of acknowledging the best USMNT performance of today…
John Anthony Brooks.
Imagine looking at a player who has the second most assists to just KDB in 2024 in an Allegri system, and then considering that information move forward with attempting to reduce his salary.
I’d flat out laugh in the clubs face, McKennie is a better man than I…
Gaga loved by his loan club already. Getting starting experience is absolutely invaluable.
Keep an eye on him and Diego Kochen over the next few years 👀
#USMNT
Gregg really called Joe Scally up while running a cross-first system and decided to give him zero minutes when he was pinging balls like this weekly in the Bundesliga. Just baffling.
It would be peak USSF if we devoted time, resources, and dialogue with Gregg on Lucho Acosta only to find out he’s ineligible and unable to play for the USMNT…
but then fully neglect actual meaningful reconciliation and dialogue with arguably the highest ceiling player we have.
My absolute favorite moment of last night that many didn’t catch: Look at Folarin Balogun talking trash to the Canadian player 😂😭 He was in Osorio’s head rent free. Our

2026 lineup prediction. Is it ridiculous? Maybe, but that’s half the fun. Picks you like or dislike? Let me know your thoughts 🇺🇸🫡
So I’m still seeing some legitimate John Brooks next cycle doubt (and some support). Just a reminder that when 2026 rolls around, JB will be 33 years old. That’s three years younger than Tim Ream, who started every World Cup game. It’s not time to count out Brooks yet.
#USMNT
Pulisic going all out to try and win that header when it’s 4-0 and half his team has given up, and he won’t be at the club in a matter of weeks is why I laugh off any “puli doesn’t care, puli is lazy ” arguments some Chelsea fans LOVE to make. Just look man. Look.
I don’t think people understand how difficult it is going to be for Leeds to keep hold of Tyler Adams after the World Cup. Based on the performances at both the club and national stage, I could see Leeds getting offers for MORE money than Kalvin Phillips. Yeah, I said it.
#USMNT
Once again to the people saying “oh no now we have to beat Iran” - if we can’t win a single group stage match, then the
#USMNT
doesn’t deserve to go through to the knockouts
Can we please get more Malik Tillman in 2023? Sure he may be raw but for him to be showing flashes already with Rangers has me really excited. While the Scottish defenders may be bad, you can still see his dribbling quality at just age 20 🪀
#USMNT
My 3 thoughts USMNT vs Germany final:
1) We switched from attacking and going at Germany into playing cautious and respectful when Reyna went out.. hmm
2) Dest is not a good enough defender to use vs T10 teams without a cleanup 6
3) Flo was scary uninvolved in GGGs system
This is embarrassing man. But i hope my team shows you why “Eurosnobs” exist. Any team giving up that degree of space and time would have been relegated years ago. And it’s why I advocate for our USMNT guys in MLS to go abroad, or stagnate.
My Final 3 thoughts USMNT vs Panama:
1) Make no mistake, C team or not we haven’t missed a gold cup final in near 10 years. Not good enough.
2) In a game where everyone looked bad, I’m going back to how impressive sands was.
3) Can we finally retire some of these guys???
So now that Balogun has committed I want to reiterate my commitment to Ricardo Pepi as a player. I think Flo is the new shiny toy but ultimately I still believe Pepi will have a HUGE impact in the 2026 cycle. He is a great player with high upside, and now competition to push him.
Luca de la Torre is a player that really hasn’t seen the field or even been mentioned this WC, and yet I feel like he may have a role to play vs Iran. His willingness to look forward could create opportunities, and I would love to see his progressive style off the bench
#USMNT
One American that had a VERY good week is Josh Sargent. He is about to get his 9 role back under David Wagner. Take a look at his bull-in-a-china-shop physicality on this goal earlier this season and tell me if that looks like a winger to you 😑
#USMNT
Am I the only one that thinks it’s absolutely ridiculous that the next USMNT coach is being told they have to live in Chicago within touching distance of the USSF “soccer house” HQ? This total lack of coaching independence really gives the feel of a USSF puppet position to me…
To anyone saying Adams will have his role reduced. Can you point to a mistake or glaring inefficiency that would demand that? Last I checked he was top 10 in the prem in tackles, has shown the scrap necessary for Leeds, and is in the running for player of the season. Respect Ty.
Puli a potential starter at AC Milan, Timo a potential starter at Juve,
Balo a potential starter at Inter.
That wouldn’t be too bad now would it USMNT fam?
For Gregg Berhalter to make no attempt to reconcile things with Gio for 6 MONTHS is absolutely ridiculous.
Forget being a coach, as a grown man there comes a time where you make amends.
It’s a 2 way street, but expecting Gio to call Gregg after what happened is ridiculous.
I want more villain profiles in the US pool. Someone that makes everyone mad and throws players off constantly. Someone in the Ramos role. A lot of people don’t like the mental warfare but I’ve always thought it’s a hugely important role. Adams is closest.
Woah, looks like it’s confirmed by 29 on First Touch Space that Gio won’t ever play for Gregg again if he is reinstated at head coach. That degree of rift has to be enough to keep him from a second cycle. Has to be.
I’m sick and tired of the Reyna disrespect. In the 10 minutes since he’s come on DOWN A MAN he’s had 3 promising passes, a dangerous dribble through the middle, and a curler on target.
If you can’t see that’s an asset worth playing more than 10 minutes, I can’t help you.
Everyone focused on how important it was to get Balogun (myself included) but not enough recognized the dual national gem we landed when he committed.
Tilly Szn.
If Gregg Berhalter was to actually get this job again with all the other candidates out there with strong European resumes and a lack of World Cup controversy, I’m sorry but I’d start to look at Matt Crocker as a USSF puppet. We CANNOT go down the exact same route in this cycle.
I don’t ever want to hear about how Gio is just some spoiled little kid again after reading this.
What a truly warm but simultaneously sad story, and a reminder that even people that seemingly have it all have far more to them than meets the eye.
Give this a read USMNT fam.
Gio Reyna: "One of these days I really need to say thank you to Sergio Agüero.
For a long time I have been like, I need to play against this guy, just so that I can talk to him. Not just because my grandfather is Argentine, or because Sergio is one of my family’s favorite…
By the next World Cup we could really be sending out an American Kevin De Bruyne in the midfield… laugh all you want but Gio Reyna if he stays healthy could have a similar Wolfsburg to Man City player arc in the next four years. Truly one for the future.

It’s time USSF. The longer we wait to make a change, the less opportunity we are going to have to land a top tier coach. Make the decision, let’s move on and get to work in the next cycle with a new coach and fresh ideas. It. Is. Time. ⌚️

Looking forward to seeing more of this forgotten man in 2023. Here’s hoping the injuries are behind him now, because he has a combination of strength and speed that simply isn’t on offer for even most professional athletes. Daryl Dike season⏳
