Hi, I’m Rise. I’m somewhat new to Star Wars Twitter. I have however, been observing for quite some time while being hesitant to join in all the fun. I’ve been nervous to do so, honestly, but I’m here now and looking for new friends. So yeah…..
It’s clear after seeing numerous reactions to the The Acolyte trailer, that a lot of you are just actively choosing to find something to hate about it. That’s just sad and childish.
While rewatching Ahsoka last night my wife asked, “When you were a kid did you ever think you’d have this much Star Wars?”, and my response was that I never thought I’d get anything after ROTS. It amazes me that we have as much as we do now, and yet so many people complain.
Luke’s death in TLJ was, IMO, the best send off for his character.
One man vs an army.
He dies knowing he saved his sister and the galaxy one last time, while giving hope to those who need it most as he sits peacefully, staring off at the twin suns. It’s a beautiful scene.
Just went to show my nephew the trailer for The Acolyte and saw this. Just look at this turd. Why would anyone go to him for his opinion on anything let alone Star Wars?
Oh, fuck off. You guys have been screaming “Fuck you, George” ever since The People vs George Lucas. Some of you need to get a grip. There far worse things to be upset about.
Rewatching ATOC with my daughter while we play with SW toys, and I will always say this film is hated on entirely too much. Does it have some poor dialogue? Yes. But everything else that makes a SW film great is there, and it’s awesome.
The Rise of Skywalker really is Threepio’s best movie. He’s a part of all the action, he’s funny, and his role in the film is one of the most important. He really gets to have his shining moment, and I love that for both him and Anthony Daniels.
@birkelu
This post wasn’t about asking questions or being a shill. Just pointing out that SWT has said Star Wars is dead or that “he’s done with Star Wars” multiple times now, and keeps coming back.
Since we know Adam Driver most likely won’t return to the world of Star Wars, would you guys be on board with an animated show exploring Ben Solo’s training with Luke, and his eventual turn to the Darkside?
Except Rey didn’t steal anything. She was given Luke and Leia’s approval/permission to use the name. You see this shot from the movie? That’s what’s happening there. And if you want to take it further, here’s Luke giving her permission verbally in the TROS novel.
Leia was actually adopted by the Organas.
Rey stole the name of Skywalker from two dead people after burying their lightsabers in the sands of a planet that literally no one in the entire family line has good memories or feelings about.
I love the Sequel Trilogy and I don’t care what people have to say about that. And while I do hope that they earn more appreciation over time, I also don’t care about that either. The negativity will never affect my love for any of Star Wars.
C-3PO revealing his brand new, shiny gold plating while a piece of sexy Jizz music plays is still one of the weirdest things in Star Wars history.
Just, why?
The Rise of Skywalker is the best of the Sequel Trilogy and you will never change my mind. It may not be absolutely perfect, but it works for me and I love it.
Another scene that gets way too much hate. People act as if the OT or PT fights didn’t have some goofy choreography and shoddy editing at times. For me this is one of the best in the series, and it was awesome to see Rey and Kylo team up.
What’s your favorite film in the Original Trilogy?
Mine has always been Return of the Jedi. From its awesome, and fun opening with Han’s rescue, to its epic final confrontation between Luke and Vader, it’s just an all around great film that serves as a great conclusion to the OT
I’m thankful that we live in a world where Star Wars gets to continue and grow. Like I’ve mentioned before, I thought that was it when the credits for Episode III started rolling, but thank the maker I was wrong. Can’t wait for the future!
Based on a lot of the responses to this post it’s clear a lot of you view this only from your perspective, and not the perspective of the characters. And like someone else stated, it’s a 5 second scene. The hate you guys have for it just seems very nitpicky.
I may not have the biggest voice, and I might not ever have the most intelligent, meaningful message to put out there, but I’m glad to be able to at least spread a little positivity within the fandom. And I don’t plan on going anywhere or stopping anytime soon.
It’s so funny to me that a lot of these people truly believe that some of us are being paid by Disney.
Can people just not be genuinely positive? Are these people just so angry that they think that’s impossible?
While it’s not my favorite of the Star Wars live action shows, I still think The Book of Boba Fett gets more hate than it deserves. If it didn’t live up to your expectations, that’s fine, but for me it was fun and enjoyable. Plus, it gave us one of the best Luke moments ever.
Still unsure why so many people hated Rey and Ben using the Force to heal each other. There has almost always been a new power introduced with each movie, and Force Healing wasn’t even new. Also, I love that it costs a person a bit of their own life force when done.
Today my daughter turns 4. She got most of her presents last weekend at her party, but today she got her Luke and Grogu. She’s currently having them meet Ariel for a tea party.
The gate keeping is strong with this one. If someone enjoys any part of Star Wars, they are a fan. GTFOH with that “fake fan” bullshit.
As for Jacob, as far as I’ve seen, he’s never once put anyone down. He’s literally been a beacon of positivity. Why does that bother you?
Says the fake fan dumbass who puts down Real Star Wars to push Disney Star Wars all the time.
Real Star Wars fans know the difference.
You are a fake fan who virtue signals pretending.
This scene with Luke and Grogu is one of the best, and one of my favorite, moments in all of Star Wars. It just feels so good. I kind of get happy tears every time I see it.
I keep seeing people pointing out the “The Complete Series” on the cover art for the Obi-wan Blu-Ray and expressing happiness in that meaning we won’t get a S2. So I ask, why? I agree it’s not needed, but I’d happily take a second season.
To be clear, just as people hating something I like doesn’t affect ME liking it, ME liking something can also not affect YOU hating it. It’s ok for people to like and dislike different things. No one HAS to be an asshole. If more people could choose not to be, we could talk.
I’m not saying that just because it has “Star Wars” in the name that people should love everything we’re getting, but we’re being given a lot, and it’s great.
It’s been a wild couple of days for me on here. I appreciate all the love and positivity coming out of it. And the negativity, well, it was expected, so I’m good. If you want more SW positivity in your feed, drop me a follow. And to those that already did, thank you!
It seems a lot of people are misinterpreting this post as me stating people aren’t allowed to criticize things. That is not what I was saying. I was referring to the numerous people nitpicking, as well as the people making bigoted comments. If that’s not you, move along.

Finn and Poe’s escape from the First Order is one of my favorite scenes from The Force Awakens. The visuals, sound design, and especially the music are all so amazing and exciting.
@risebluesun
My problem isn't with force healing.
It's that they killed off the last Skywalker. They wiped out the line.
It's an arrogance that spits in the face of the fans.
You think the haters ever get tired? Like not just tired from typing up a bunch hateful bullshit all the time, but like tired from just carrying all that hate and anger? I know I would. I can’t stand the feeling of being angry. It makes me feel bad.
This moment will forever be some of the greatest Star Wars ever filmed, still gives me chills every time I see it.
I’ll never forget watching it for the first time completely speechless. Miss this series so much 💔
Happy Star Wars Day everyone!!
Remember, Star Wars is for everyone and you’re a fan no matter which parts you love or hate.
And May the 4th be with you!

Christ. You’re one of the reasons Disney keeps making shit Star Wars. They know simpletons like you will keep consuming their dog shit. It’s incredible that people have no sense of what good writing is anymore. The bar is so low now today.
You only view it as being “stolen” because you personally don’t approve of it, but the thing about that is you don’t get to make the rules for Star Wars.
This is one of the best scenes in the saga. The parallels between this and the scene in The Force Awakens are really awesome. And I love seeing Ben turning his back on the Darkside and returning to the light.
I might also enjoy the “I know” more in this scene than in ESB.
I know a lot of people deal with a lot of hate, insults, or outright bullying, but don’t ever let that bullshit keep you from enjoying the things you love. Keep getting excited, and keep having fun.
Celebrated my daughter’s 4th birthday today. I know people always say it, but they really do grow up too fast. Anyway, she had a great day, and got a lot of cool stuff. I have a Luke & Grogu figure set to give her on her actual birthday next weekend. Luke is her favorite.
You know, honestly, after seeing The Phantom Menace again in theater today, I can’t understand how it ever got the hate it did back in 99. It’s a solid movie and still holds up very well today. May have even just jumped a few spots in my ranking.
