Literally some of the best games I've ever played aren't photorealistic imitations of movies. Gravity Rush 1 & 2, the Tales series, Falcom's Trails and Ys series. Even Dark Souls & Bloodborne. Yakuza reuses assets like crazy which is why they can turn out a game almost every year
