It's theatrically presented, but director Makalla McPherson understood the assignment and gave us possibly the best directed episode of this decade so far? The more I think about this ep, the more I love it and it should be the template for Doctor Who's ideals moving forward.
I really hate how people downplay ‘the story and the engine’ JUST because it happens to have a more theatrical direction. granted not a lot of characters are developed at all, but it’s probably one of the few episodes that gives a damn about characterising 15 and his morals.
