The time for change in L.A. — is now.
On the City Council, I’ll reform how the city handles homelessness and prioritize public safety.

I was at this meeting. This is why I’m running against her. The only people responsible for stolen catalytic converters are those who steal catalytic converters. Period.
600% increase in crimes against society. 3 rapes and 39 aggravated assaults in Feb alone. Metro’s response? 300 Ambassadors who wave at you and say “have a safe trip!” We need real policing on Metro, and a DA who will actually prosecute criminal conduct.
Starbucks at Ventura and Vineland. Last year this happened to several Starbucks in Hollywood. Now the madness has spread to the Valley. What Nithya is doing isn’t working. We need a change
For the first two years of her term, Nithya allowed this encampment to grow. The Mayor cleared it in her first week. Then Nithya ignored it for another year. Nithya is Chair of Homeless Committee. She has the power. Let’s place the blame where it belongs
.
@nithyavraman
is Chair of the LA City Council Homelessness Committee.
Under her watch — homelessness has gotten worse — and it’s clear she has failed the people of the 4th district.
The time for change is now. Join us.
VOTE BY MARCH 5!
The idea that “safety ambassadors” are the solution to Metro’s massive crime problem is a fantasy. We need dedicated officers on trains.
Our City will never move people out of their cars if the only thing reliable about Metro is the violence.
Proud to have the endorsement of the
@ladailynews
Editorial Board! We’re building a winning coalition of firefighters, nurses, small business owners and working families across
#CD4
ready for change.
🚨 EXCITING CD4 POLL RESULTS 🚨
This race is a dead heat, & we have the opportunity to bring real change to CD4. These results confirm that voters across the district want change and a City Councilmember who will keep our communities safe & deliver real results on homelessness.
My opponent opposed Mayor Bass’ plan to invest more in LAPD and is endorsed by the DSA that believes in abolishing the police
I support hiring more police more firefighters and more paramedics
We don’t have to live this way. We can prevent crimes like these in the future
EXCLUSIVE: Florist Mark’s Garden in Sherman Oaks burnt down after police say woman went on arson crime spree. She’s also accused of almost killing 2.
Sad thing is this didn’t have to happen if she had been kept in jail for all the other crimes she’s accused of.
@foxla
Elections are about choices.
My opponent
@nithyavraman
refuses to reject or withdraw her endorsement from
@DemSocialists
@dsa_losangeles
.
Voters will have a choice. Vote with the DSA - or against them.
5 months until March 5, 2024. CD4 will decide.
Some prominent fringe-left groups like chapters of the Democratic Socialists of America, are shamelessly expressing support for Hamas’s murderous attacks in the name of “resistance” and “liberation.” More from our Center on Extremism:
Throwing money at a problem is not leadership. The way we spend on homelessness is fundamentally broken and unless we fix that, we’ll never get out of this mess
Thank you for sharing.
To be clear—our issue has been with your silence after
@dsa_losangeles
sided with terrorists.
The people deserves to know.
Will you disavow, reject the DSA endorsement, & ask them to withdraw it?
Will you reject their financial and volunteer support?
24 hours has passed since her biggest endorser, Democratic Socialists of America - Los Angeles, sided with terrorists who violently murdered innocent Israeli civilians, raped women, and kidnapped children Nithya Raman still has not condemned DSA-LA or rejected DSA-LA endorsement
Election Day is finally here! Make sure to vote and remind your friends and neighbors to vote as well! This election will be decided by who actually shows up, so show up for your community!
I'm honored to be supported by Equality California.
Alongside advocates like
@eqca
, I'll work tirelessly on Los Angeles City Council to fight for justice, equality, and representation for our LGBTQ+ community.
Far too many Los Angeles residents feel unsafe in their neighborhoods.
This reality is unacceptable — and one I plan to fix on City Council. I'm proud to have the support of dedicated
@LAPPL
officers as we work together to restore safety in our communities.
I’m so grateful LAPD was there in time to save this family. Antisemitism, hate crimes, and home invasions are on the rise and this is why we need to rebuild LAPD
Time is running out to GET OUT THE VOTE, and we can’t win without your help!
We’re knocking on doors for

Our campaign is backed by the largest coalition of working families organizations in the race for CD4.
I'm honored that
@TCU_Local_1315
is joining this coalition — I'll always fight to ensure that their members are safe and protected on the job.
400 burglaries in Encino alone. Burglaries in broad daylight. Burglaries when people are home. Thanks to the extremist calls to defund/abolish the police, LAPD can’t keep up with 911 calls. Nithya supports this movement and these are the results.
Small businesses are essential to the fabric of Los Angeles — bringing vibrancy, opportunity, and good jobs to our neighborhoods.
I'm honored to have the endorsement of
@VICASFValley
PAC. Together, we'll ensure small businesses have the resources & support they need to thrive.
I’m so proud to have the support of my own union and of the men and women I work with every day to keep this City safe.
I've learned so much about the needs of our community through my work as a Neighborhood Prosecutor, and I'll carry that experience with me on City Council.
I'm grateful to be supported by Democrats for Israel - Los Angeles.
The recent spike in antisemitism and hate is unacceptable, and on City Council, I'll work diligently to ensure the safety and security of our Jewish community in Los Angeles.
Our city's restaurants are not just places to eat; they are community gathering spots and the heart of our local economy.
With the support of the Los Angeles Restaurant Association, I'm committed to working tirelessly to support the success of small businesses across LA.
As a Neighborhood Prosecutor, I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating impacts that gun violence can have on our communities.
I’m running for City Council to build safer neighborhoods across Los Angeles and enact commonsense gun safety reforms.
Our communities deserve a City Councilmember who will prioritize public safety and investments in emergency responders.
I'm proud to be backed by the dedicated members of
@lappoa
as we fight to create safer neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
Under my watch hate will have no place in Los Angeles’s 4th Council District. The rise in antisemitic hate is unacceptable. As Councilmember, I will work to expand neighborhood patrols to combat this rise in hate and hold those who engage in it accountable
Standing strong with Israel in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks by Hamas. Every nation has the right to defend its citizens and borders. Let's hope for a swift resolution to bring peace to the region.
This is the kind of lawlessness that happens when criminals believe they can commit crime & get away with it. We don’t have enough officers to respond to violent crime, much less mob theft—but Councilmember Raman voted against Mayor Bass’ plan to fund LAPD
Dear Councilmember
@nithyavraman
, LA's 4th District deserves to hear our views & ideas. Let's have 5 debates before the primary to discuss our visions for

. Your constituents want to see you in action. Will you accept the challenge?
I’m honored to be supported by

As we welcome the Lunar New Year, may the year ahead be marked by happiness, success, and beautiful moments shared with family and friends. Cheers to a fantastic celebration!
Smash and grabs, like catalytic converter theft, rely on criminals knowing police can’t respond quickly. I agree with
@MayorOfLA
that we need more officers to respond to these crimes of opportunity
A lifelong civil rights champion,
@RickChavezZbur
has never shied away from tackling our biggest challenges — fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, climate action, and much more.
I'm honored to have his support and look forward to working together to deliver change for our communities.
Across the 4th District, we are faced with growing problems around crime, homelessness & affordable housing. Too often our cries for help are ignored.
I'm running for City Council because we deserve a leader who will put the needs of
#CD4
first. Join us!
I worked at Starbucks. It was a hard job 10 years ago. I can’t imagine what they deal with today. Standing up for workers starts with keeping them safe at work. When elected I will do everything I can to keep businesses, employees, and customers safe
For 4 years I didn’t own a car, and took the Red Line to work every day. However, it got so dangerous that I finally bought a car for my own safety. I was fortunate to be able to make that choice. Many working class Angelenos don’t have the same means.
Absolutely honored to receive the endorsement of
@UNAC_UHCP
! Frontline nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system, their dedication to patient care and our community's safety is unmatched. Grateful for their support as we work together for a healthier, safer future for all!

Keeping our Metro employees and riders safe is a top priority and I’m excited to fight for them in City Hall.
I'm proud to be supported by the hardworking members of
@aladsonline
.
By working collaboratively with our law enforcement officers, we can tackle the most pressing issues facing our communties and create a safer and more secure Los Angeles for all.
I’m honored to be endorsed by
@PORACalifornia
- the largest statewide law enforcement association in the nation.
By working closely with their members, we can reduce crime, improve emergency response time, and restore public safety in neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
Schools should always serve as safe spaces, where students can learn and grow without fear.
Members of the LA School Police Management Association work tirelessly to ensure that students and educators are safe and protected in our schools. It's an honor to have their support.
And because truth and facts matter — know that our campaign has never said, and would never say, that you support or sided with Hamas — nor would we condone that. In fact, we unequivocally disavow anyone who has done so.
We’ve built a winning coalition of labor unions representing nurses, firefighters, construction and longshore workers, as well as grassroots Democrats and elected leaders.
Together, we’re fighting for the change LA deserves. I would be honored to earn your support,

I'm honored to have her support as we fight to create change for the people of District 4.
Our coalition of labor unions is continuing to grow — I'm proud to have the support of
@IlwuC
.
I will always stand with working families as we fight to ensure that good-paying jobs and opportunities are accessible to everyone in Los Angeles.
I’m so thankful for our frontline nurses who keep us all safe. But it is shameful that they have to strike just to demand adequate staffing and basic safety measures for their patients and nurses. Thank you
@SEIU121RN
for fighting for us in the ER and out on the streets!
I’m quickly approaching what will probably be the most important fundraising deadline of this campaign. We need a big showing to prove that this campaign is a serious challenge to Nithya and the status quo at City Hall. Please chip in whatever you can by Friday 6/30!
I will. Our essential transit workers should not have to worry about assaults while on the job. I can’t imagine going to work every day worrying if this is the day I will be attacked. Unacceptable. This is a workers rights issue.
Mass Transit workers need better protection while on the job. Assaults and Harassment are increasing, which lawmaker is willing to stand up and fight to keep these workers safe?
Honored to have the endorsement of
@SEIU121RN
in my campaign for City Council.
Healthcare workers are the lifelines of our communities— working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. Together, we'll fight for the resources and support they deserve.
🚨 Couldn’t be more grateful to have LA’s heroic firefighters & paramedics of
@UFLAC

#CD4

The nearly 3,400 dedicated
#LosAngeles

This campaign is about creating real change for working families across District 4.
I'm grateful that UA Local 250 has joined our growing coalition of labor unions who share in our vision for a city where every worker can thrive.
Absolutely heartbreaking. People often forget that law enforcement are putting their lives on the line every day they go to work. But their families never forget Our hearts go out to the Clinkunbroomer family and hope that justice for his murderer is swift
Transit fairs are critical to both maintain the system (see the collapse of BART in SF) and to keep it for riders, not a mobile homeless shelter. Our policies need to be based in reality, not wishful thinking.
This is heartbreaking. The reality is that—on average—attacks on Metro employees occur every other day! We have to protect our public employees, our riders, and our mass transit system as a whole!
Yesterday I met with members of
@CalRestaurants
who told me this isn’t just a Hollywood problem. Employees from Sherman Oaks to Los Feliz don’t feel safe at night. Public safety is a workers rights issue.
I’m thrilled to have
@PaintersDC36
's supporting my race for
#CD4
. The labor movement has helped workers secure better wages, safer working conditions, and secure retirements. I will always stand by workers on City Council.
Two Metro drivers stabbed in a month. Metro drivers shouldn’t risk their lives every day they come to work. Reversing these trends will take resources and new leadership. Metro’s support for creating its own police force is a step in the right direction.
I'm so grateful that our coalition of working families continues to grow by the day.
@afscme3090
members provide critical support to cities across our region, and I'll always fight to ensure they receive the dignity and support they deserve on the job.
This is also an environmental issue. I would love to feel like I can give up my car and take Metro again without fear. I know many Angelenos who feel the same. When elected, I will be a strong advocate for safety on Metro.
This campaign is about fighting for the needs of working families across District 4. That's why I'm proud to have the support of United Association Local 761.
Together, we're committed to securing fair wages, robust protections, and dignified working conditions for all workers.
As our labor coalition continues to grow, I am more committed than ever to the fight for workers’ rights. Together, we can ensure that Los Angeles is a city where every worker is protected and empowered.

I’m proud to be endorsed by community leaders from every corner of District 4.
This campaign is about making sure that all voices are heard — not just those at the top.
Join our movement for change:
@LukeRodriguez75
Hey Luke, I have a lot of respect for you too! This is why it matters. Pre-Defund LAPD had around 10k officers. In 2021 Nithya backed a proposal to cap LAPD at 9450 officers. Now LAPD is around 9000 officers and will likely dip to 8800 in the near future.
Solidarity with ILWU Local 13! As the LA and Long Beach ports shut down due to stalled contract talks, we must stand by the workers who keep our economy moving. Let's support fair negotiations and ensure their rights, livelihoods, & working conditions are protected.
#solidarity
Southern California dockworkers disrupted cargo activity Friday at the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports — major entry points for the country’s imports — after contract talks deteriorated in recent days, causing the ports to shut down
@LukeRodriguez75
LAPD does not have enough officers to handle its 911 calls as quickly as it used to. It’s overwhelmed. We got here by deliberate policy choices. Voting for a budget that increases funding now is too little too late.
It never ends. Union Station sees over 100k people pass through it every day—some of those are my friends and coworkers who commute from across the county. We have to stop this madness!
As a Neighborhood Prosecutor I’ve shut down numerous underground nightclubs and casinos. This is exactly why: they often bring crime and violence into neighborhoods. This tragedy was avoidable.
It was such an honor to participate in the
#DragIsntDangerous
telethon on Sunday. Representation matters and it’s one of the reasons I’m running for office
Attacks on the LGBTQ community aren’t just happening in far off states, they are happening here, even in CD4. This is why PRIDE Month matters: it’s an opportunity to show that those who love are greater than those who hate
