I’m passionate about child literacy and this is simply a crime. 1 in 5 not meeting the standard and nearly a THIRD moving to KS2 in disarray. More schools and homes need the @FonettiApp … to boost reading confidence and give teachers transformative data!
After 13 years of drive to improve reading standards through phonics approximately 20% of pupils don’t meet the accepted standard in phonics through schools' phonics programmes and 31% are transferring to KS2 having failed to meet the government’s accepted standard in reading.
