A pleasure to be involved in this important report out today 📣 on the importance of prioritising the early years and supporting preschool education. Lovely to see our maths & EF intervention “the ONE” featured as an example of innovative practice.
A new report by Child of the North - led by @n8 @n8research & @_henorth - & @annelongfield’s @Cfyounglives urges the government to tackle the preschool crisis and warns that hundreds of thousands of children arrive at school not ready for learning

Wonderful to host @Dr_Tre_Crew today who gave a brilliant seminar on experiences of being working class in higher education. Themes of identity, belonging & the role of precarity. The quote “class runs through me like a stick of rock” will stay with me. Thanks, Teresa!.

1. I’ve been lucky to have been a @UKRI_News Future Leader Fellow @FLFDevNetwork for the last few years, with training ending this week in an inspiring leadership retreat. As academics I think we often are cynical about visions and management speak, but I’ve felt feeling inspired.
