Cities of India are not naturally Cosmopolitan. Since the Congress era in 1947, outsiders were systematically allowed to settle in cities. The hidden malicious intent behind settling migrants was to curb the native sentiments. A Konkani in Karnataka has to be called a Konkani.

We Kannadigas are living since time immemorial in this region. We call our region as Kannada nadu. India became a nation only in 1947. Don't try to view us from your so-called "Nationalist" lens.

We are just mentioning the respective ethnicities of concerned persons. Why are you bringing this 'outsider' tag ? We have no problem with Non-Kannadiga ethnicity of peoples staying in Karnataka. But their interests should be in favour of native Kannadigas.
Repeated references to ‘Gujarati’ & ‘Konkani’ before @kiranshaw & @TVMohandasPai ‘s names are very much a dog whistle. It’s to make them out as ‘outsiders’ to Bengaluru when they very much aren’t. This dangerous precedent needs to be called out! @Tejasvi_Surya @PCMohanMP

Why these bsdas can't understand the basic meaning of ethnicity? Kannadigas are ethnic community, Your father must be kannadiga to you to be a kannadiga. Ethnicity isn't ur citizenship that you get for living in the place.
