Final Update for the #WhiteHawkFire as of yesterday evening: it is 100% contained. After more accurate mapping, there was a reduction of acreage to approximately 1 acre. Frefighters from @elkcreekfire, Conifer Fire, @jeffcoopenspace, @PSICC_NF, and @jeffcosheriffco continued.

More thunderstorms and lightning are expected in the area again today. Firefighter and community safety will remain our number one priority. Per Jeffco Open Space, CO, Reynolds Park is closed until further notice due to fire operations.

Crews are removing branches and fuel from the area and mopping-up along the fire line (extinguishing or removing burning and hazardous material within or close to the fire’s edge). Smoke and some flame could still be visible from the interior of the fire today.
