PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: Invenergy’s employees have volunteered with JCPOS since 2022, working on various projects like trail maintenance and habitat restoration. Recently, Invenergy’s Denver team spent the day dismantling barbed wire fencing on public land.

JCOS is excited to announce the full reopening of Deer Creek Canyon Park as of August 1, 2025, following the 2024 Quarry Fire. Black Bear Trail has also reopened after a seasonal wildlife closure to protect nesting birds of prey. Please remember: the park is now Stay on Trail.

As of August 1, seasonal wildlife closures have been lifted, with the exception of Crown Hill Park’s Wildlife Sanctuary & Cathedral Spires Park. The Wildlife Sanctuary remains closed due to flooding, & Cathedral Spires Park will stay closed for a late-season raptor fledge.
