"why are so many young people fed up with capitalism?" Millennials make up 35% of workers yet have 4.6% of all wealth If you think "they're too young," at that age Baby Boomers had 21% of all wealth - 5x what Millennials have - despite far less education https://t.co/XPGe1oFtq0

Despite making up the largest portion of the workforce, millennials controlled just 4.6% of U.S. wealth through the first half of 2020, according to data from the Federal Reserve.

Will people die if we #EndTheShutdown? Yes. Will people die if we continue the shutdown, thereby preventing people from getting jobs & making enough $ to survive in a country whose govt couldnโt care less? Yes. Let ppl protest for solutions. Not everyone can weather the storm.

It's all just a big machine that grinds up the working class to fuel temporary, largely illusory, stock market gains.

To the companies who keep writing to me with "in these uncertain times..." I just want to say "time is *always* uncertain"--we just forget it is because we're bogged down with schedules, work, errands. Life, my friends, IS uncertain, we just spend our lives pretending it's not.

If I ever run for president I promise not to awkwardly point at the crowd and wave like I have friends in the audience and I promise not to thank the debate moderator for the question and on this alone I'll win with over 300 electoral votes and 55% of the popular vote.

Awesome #ShortStory of the day: "Hysteria" by Liz Breazeale in @TheCollagist! Very political, but I love how she was able to re-contextualize the pro-life/choice debate through the absurd (and increasingly horrifying) situation the MC is faced with. https://t.co/HzAnl8axFl

Awesome story of the day: "The Calvinist" by Caleb Coy in @liminoidmag. This is the kind of twisting, layered, experimental story I wish I had written. #amreading
