I can safely say that win @leicester today was the best I have witnessed during 40 years of covering @GlamCricket. An astonishing innings from Sam Northeast- well supported by Colin Ingram and @Cooky_24, followed by @Hoges31 and Michael Neser's outstanding seam bowling.

If the two days are rained off at Trent Bridge, @RDBCroft10 suggests that the two teams play the game at the start of next season as a curtain raiser. Sounds an excellent idea. Both he and Somerset's Jason Kerr agree the 50 over game must remain. Agreed.

Just watched an item on @BumbleCricket , Michael Holding and Shane Warne, who are no longer commentating on cricket. A huge loss, but Bumble is still available and misses the game he loves. We would all welcome his return @SkySports.

Well done to @GlamCricket for turning down the ill thought proposals of Strauss and co, and for supporting their loyal and sensible supporters.

What a wonderful servant @StewieCricket has been to cricket. One of England's greatest players, then managing Surrey to three successive titles, and one of the most helpful and approachable men in the game. Now caring for his sick wife, we wish them both well.

And the end of my 43rd season covering Glamorgan, many thanks to all my fellow commentators- especially @nickwebb2017- and the faithful supporters who follow the great game. Hope to see you all in 2025. Diolch yn fawr.

Some years ago, @telegraph covered every county and University games. Today they gave The Hundred a spread, while there was nothing I could see about two terrific Metro Bank semi finale. Did @thetimes carry anything I wonder?.

Worth reading @Athersmike this morning- condemning the ECB for not spending 4 nights in Pakistan. Worth remembering that they came over here in difficult circumstances last year and saved the ECB.

Great to see Justin Tipuric, along with Bleddyn Bowen and @RobNJones9 become the third player from our village to captain Wales.

Remembering Tomos Owen, who died 12 years ago today, aged 31. A talented cricketer, outstanding sports producer at @BBCRadioWales, @BBCCymruWales, Tomos was a huge loss to us all. Cofio Tomos.

What an excellent all round performance from @glamorgancricket. it's been an 8 year wait but worth it! Only regret that it's being played on a Thursday, but there will be plenty of hwyl from the Welsh supporters at Trent Bridge.

The spectators don't want, the it, players "are still uncertain", Root and Stokes will be allocated to teams for marketing purposes but won't play. social media is scathing,,, just scrap it and invest in The @VitalityBlast which is gaining in popularity year by year.

@AnnieChave Been covering county cricket for 40 years, and still love every minute of it. Please disregard the stupid comments of you know who, he is simply looking for publicity and thankfully he was overlooked for anything to do with the new regime We support you all the way.

@AnnieChave Someone please tell Strauss to stop trying to introduce new red ball competitions and give the championship the respect it deserves. Does anyone know the other people on this review panel?.

Seven years ago today, we said goodbye to a great friend and a @GlamCricket legend. Don Shepherd. Always remembered, never forgotten.

Off course it's a poor pitch, but if @ECB_cricket persist in playing county games in early April and September where the balls seam around, batsmen face little or no spin.

Other memories of St Helen's are of @mattmaynard25 striking 3 successive sixes to reach his century on debut, and @RDBCroft10 taking his 1000th first class wicket. Memories indeed of watching cricket in the sun and the tide coming in at Swansea Bay. .

Worth remembering that Michael Hogan @Hoges31 who took his 600th first class wicket today, did not play his first game until he was 28.

Excellent fightback from @GlamCricket as they add 202 for the last 3 wickets and then take 2 crucial Durham wickets. Match on.

After his team @AmmanfordCC had beaten @ClydachCC, @GlamCncket's Marchant De Lange then spent time with the youngsters in the Clydach nets. Consumate professional.

Despite the weather, enjoyed, as usual, working with @nickwebb2017 and @JonathanDoidge over the past 4 days. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the discussion re Glamorgan's best ever X1 and the Welsh Language commentary with @RDBCroft10 . Grateful to @SkyCricket for the opportunity.

Just heard @Athersmike say there will be no championship cricket next Year in July and August. He disagrees with this. and so do many many other cricket followers. hard to believe. .

Thanks to @Foxescricket and @nickwebb2017 for 4 memorable days at Leicester. A special word for Nick who somehow managed to inform everyone of all the records and interview all and sundry.
