Cuba has redefined the family as people who love and take care of each other. This is a huge deal, as no other country in the world has ever done this.

Columbia is directly responsible for violence against Black people in Harlem neighborhoods bordering the campus, as one of the biggest landlords in the neighborhood. Then there is the recurrent βGym Crowβ scandal of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
Universities are active participants in genocide, institutions that will discipline and punish if you question and challenge their settler colonial foundations and production of violence.

This is correct. People willing to conveniently forget the humanity of disabled people, or who make statements about βable bodied people needing to workβ without understanding that the assumption of an able bodied norm is incorrect, will not be reliable comrades.
There will be NO successful liberation or revolutionary project without confronting the ableism and eugenics endemic in leftist communities (along with liberals and proud fascists), without disability justice, without exiling wannabe edgelord egotist larpers from the movement.

I think everyone using a mobility aid needs one or they wouldnβt stigmatize themselves as disabled. I am genuinely shocked when people think that anyone who wasnβt actually disabled would deliberately submit to enforced poverty.
You think younger disabled people that use mobility aids but still can walk partially are faking, but you donβt say anything about elderly people using them.

The idea that βdisabled people should be somewhere they can be taken care ofβ rather than making the tools to take care of themselves, as able, publicly available is part of the problem. Disabled people have the same right to participate in society as the rest of us.
@broadwaybabyto I mean if they literally can't make food shouldn't they be somewhere they can be taken care of?.
