What an enlightening and positive article by Arthur Hobhouse at Gartcharron Farm Argyll in latest @ReforestingScot magazine leading the way on #progressive land ownership acknowledging past wrongs and seeking reparations.

A pleasure and a privilege working tonight with the Renfrewshire Young Carers who are embarking on their #DoEaward. They planted wildflowers and trees at Locher Wood #communitywoodland in the drizzle @RenCAN

Thanks to the staff @HPE for #volunteering today at Wardlaw, Dalry helping us remove the last few plastic spiral guards and protecting surviving trees with experimental double height biodegradable guards. Bit of a #needleinahaystack situation but we found a few.

Rare species such as #Aspen which thrive in a dynamic landscape will benefit. Cultivating thd ground also creates seed beds facilitating natural regeneration.

Of course Wild boar can be destructive but the disturbance they create can be very beneficial ecologically as with beavers. We need more of this in our landscape
www-bbc-com.cdn.ampproject.org
Researchers say the number of wild boars is likely to increase to about 2,400 by 2075.
