Pleased to publish this new @ModernLRev article on how Retained EU Law (Revocation & Reform) Act removes UK #GDPR legal priority & how its Regulations 2013/1417 narrow meaning of "fundamental" #humanrights in UK #dataprotection to #ECHR alone: https://t.co/wSxxZa0Rtd (1/4)

#Commonwealth #migration remains v significant to the (British) Isles story yet the #Irish๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช dimension is overlooked. So it's great to publish new article highlighting its significant discretion & generally more restrictive approach during 1950s, 60s & 70s https://t.co/U9EljH9ebE

Highly relevant state immunity decision @UKSupremeCourt yesterday - dismissing Appeal by Saudi Embassy because respondent is in an employment relationship. Respondent expertly represented by our @Selwyn1882 @EULegalStudies @cambridgelaw colleague the amazing @SFraserButlin KC.

.@iconews issued 0 fines & 0 enforcement notices against companies under UK #GDPR for entire year. Yet law says it should fine unless infringement "minor" & Commissioner told Parliament companies were hoovering up & retaining too much & it was his role to "bring them into line".
