Pleased to publish this new @ModernLRev article on how Retained EU Law (Revocation & Reform) Act removes UK #GDPR legal priority & how its Regulations 2013/1417 narrow meaning of "fundamental" #humanrights in UK #dataprotection to #ECHR alone: https://t.co/wSxxZa0Rtd (1/4)

As stated in Europe's Second Constitution: Member States in the EU no longer have unlimited discretion as to when and how citizenship is awarded, particularly if there is a risk of interference with EU citizenship rights.

Thank you @EUCourtPress for an EU constitutional fire cracker in Com v. Malta today declaring EU citizenship 'Staatsraison' (wow!) and "that Union citizenship constitutes the fundamental status of nationals of the Member States." (2 x wow!). https://t.co/iNZUNzzsjb

#Commonwealth #migration remains v significant to the (British) Isles story yet the #Irish๐ฎ๐ช dimension is overlooked. So it's great to publish new article highlighting its significant discretion & generally more restrictive approach during 1950s, 60s & 70s https://t.co/U9EljH9ebE

Highly relevant state immunity decision @UKSupremeCourt yesterday - dismissing Appeal by Saudi Embassy because respondent is in an employment relationship. Respondent expertly represented by our @Selwyn1882 @EULegalStudies @cambridgelaw colleague the amazing @SFraserButlin KC.
Judgment has been given this morning in the matter of The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia (Cultural Bureau) (Appellant) v Costantine (Respondent) UKSC 2024/0061: https://t.co/KsjFuhjot3
