The 4th meeting of @EMAtTheDeepEnd starts with a view from the @SimonCommScot, poorer health outcomes for refugee and migrants, poorer access to care, and a real need to support engagement from EDs to community services.

With @TheDrMagazine, we've spoken about the impact of the social determinants of health in emergency care, and a path to positive change. Not about fixing all the flaws of society, but recognising this is core to Emergency Medicine, and advocating for change.
If we want to reduce the numbers of people attending Emergency Departments, we need to address inequalities within society and healthcare. That's a better way than turning them away at the door.
