A few months ago, I officially stepped down as coordinator of the Early Christian Studies Workshop. I had a great 3+ years working with and learning from @HardyNjhardy, @bradleyhansen93, and all of our guests and local presenters. Best of luck to Brad in the coming year!

Who are the ancient Samaritans, what are their origins, and what do scholars think about them? We cover plenty of ground in this little podcast. Bonus: I have a soothing voice (probably?). Thanks to Alex Sorin and @Levantinipod for a terrific interview

Thread 🧵 updated with links to some Classics-specific resources about trans, non-binary and GNC people in antiquity and in ancient world studies. Standing against transphobia also means learning from & uplifting trans perspectives, and working to make higher ed. more inclusive.
It should go without saying that academics ought to vocally & unequivocally disavow transphobia if they want the trust of their trans students & colleagues. What else can academics do to support trans people in their disciplines? Comment below with suggestions #ClassicsTwitter
