Free advice from a measly old JC baseball coach. The common theme this summer amongst scouts (pro & college) is nobody likes to play anymore. Play hard & have fun doing it. It's really that simple. Have a smile on your face & no matter what happens just keep playing.

I met Augie Garrido twice. The first time, I was a just measly assistant coach & we were introduced. 5 years later, I had just gotten the HC job at Grayson. He walked right up to me & congratulated me by first name. Needless to say I was impressed. May he rest in peace. #legend.

Cowboys fan here. Can't stand Washington. But Alex Smith is a dude. This story doesn't get enough love. The toughness/resilience of this man is beyond compare.
