… I suspected that cross-class friendships were a big driver of #SocialMobility when 2 interviewees in my book using the same phrase (“I had a posh friend”) sent me digging in the data. @RGurumurthy’s piece cites more, newer, stronger data (& points to levers govt can pull). 2/2.
