We want ALL of Dulwich to have access to clean air not just the privileged few. The LTNs cause pollution, increased traffic, stress and inequality.

Southwark said they listened to LAS when they said LTNs cause delays. Meetings were meant to ensure these delays stopped. They didn't. LAS has been asking since August *last year* for the closed junction to be opened for emergency access. Southwark have ignored this request.

The last Southwark data dump showed cycling numbers in and around the Dulwich LTN between June 2022-June 2023: Burbage Road ⬇️43% Dulwich Village ⬇️40% Turney Road ⬇️70% Townley Road ⬇️28% In unrelated news: Southwark stopped counting cyclists in June 2023...

Cllr Leeming attempting to provide a teachable moment about the dangers of SUVs, but actually reveals what many of the pro-LTN lobby think of 'quiet' roads: kids can play on them. No one should be playing on or in a road. Ever. Terrifying for all involved and glad he's ok.

What's also missing from this convo is that those not able bodied, those not quick on their feet, those who are older, will see this junction and the cyclists running red lights and worry. Their perceived threat of injury is an important consideration totally missed by LCC.
Whaaaat! In which Simon Munk of @London_Cycling excuses cyclists of the criminal offence of running a red light by telling @itvlondon that “in fact pedestrians are actually…slightly worsely behaved”. Can we have an apology from @London_Cycling?

News reaches us that yet another shop in Dulwich Village has closed, just weeks after Romeo Jones. Opening Heritage Cheese, located in the closed junction, was meant to prove closing roads = increased footfall and lead to a flourishing local economy. Another fail.

When it's the guy who says how much he loves his quiet road because of the LTN and claims to cycle everywhere, also has to hide the fact he has 3 cars, so parks 2 on the road and just the 1 on his drive. We see you.

A new paper written by Anna Goodman argues that data shouldn't be the only point when considering if an LTN works or not. Should the author of such a paper be considered too when deciding if a study on LTNs is biased or not? https://t.co/vwDOfz9QJI
Dr Anna Goodman, one of the biggest LTN advocates and adored by the pro- LTN lobby, is caught tearing down a poster advertising a petition against the LTNs in West Dulwich. Is this a person who should be be trusted to present unbiased reports on LTNs?

🔴34% of Londoners use the bus at least three times a week - 1.8 billion journeys in 2024. 🔴People on lower incomes and women tending to use them more than others. 🔴TfL says 74% of buses are slower than a decade ago. Result ⬇️

🔴London is the most congested city in Europe. 🔴Dept Transport data: c3 million vehicles in 2023, the lowest since 2013. 🔴Drivers in the capital spent an average 101 hours sitting in traffic last year Fewer cars, but more congestion. 🤡

Anna Goodman's husband runs the account BSWD. This is from the study he quotes: "AG lives in a former LTN in South London. It is not one of the LTNs studied in this paper." Yet below he says road collisions went down...pro-LTN lobby at its finest.

Jon Burke perfectly illustrates why local people should make decisions on *their* area. 200m from where the below questionnaire was taken, a cyclist was hit by a car and is still in a coma. *Locals* knew the Dulwich LTN doesn't make us safer, but the pro LTN lobby don't care.

Southwark asked local residents what they think of the LTNs and road closures in Dulwich, and we told them. They just decided to totally ignore it.

Your regular reminder that Cllr Leeming knowingly and intentionally has made Croxted a toxic car park during Dulwich LTN hours. Admitting he rerouted traffic from DV (never a 'quiet residential road') to Croxted *on purpose*.

Cllr Leeming calls choosing Croxted to take all of the traffic in Dulwich during timed restrictions a "trade off," but only because the roads were "choked with traffic" before, so it's fine? Rational reasoning has left the building...

Modal shift/evaporation were all words being thrown around to sell LTNs to residents in Dulwich by Southwark Cllrs in 2020/2021, but no accountability when there's been no evaporation or modal shift 5 years on. The daily congestion on Croxted *remains*.

Competing interests of Anna Goodman: "From time to time, AG volunteers in a personal capacity with local healthy streets and safe routes to school groups." No mention of her tearing down a poster grouping together those against the LTNs though. Shocked. https://t.co/QkJYYqpw6g

"...Absolutely not to benefit residents on one road over another." Would love Cllr Newens to explain Croxted Road versus Court Lane, where 5 years on congestion on Croxted is more than just a 'worry': It's a daily reality.

Croxted Rd is a great example of the greenwashing happening. LTNs lauded as "clean air." Reality: "New data from the RCGP research and surveillance centre shows the rate of asthma attacks in 2025 has consistently been above the five-year average." https://t.co/EVCcmPZE4Z

Exclusive: Doctors say clean air zones need expanding, after 45,458 visits in first half of this year – up from 31,376 last year

James Mcash is the new leader at Southwark council. We hope now he's in charge, he will follow through with his social justice approach to the Dulwich LTNs to protect schools, nurseries and hospitals "above all else." EDG=3 schools, 1 nursery, 1 GP hub. Croxted = 1 nursery.

Lambeth announce new safety measures for Croxted Rd without any consultation or information for *residents* on Croxted Rd. A comment on Norwood Forum is the first they're hearing about this. @lambeth_council @RezinaChowdhury surely you can do better than this?
@betterstreetswd What do those bus priority measures look like ? We have no idea. It would be good if we could be part of the discussion @RezinaChowdhury @LambethLabour We are very concerned about speeding cars and our vulnerable residents @ChitchClaire

Anna Goodman's husband trying to grasp at any straw to make LTNs popular. Now they're a good thing because they make property prices go up? Desperate times clearly call for desperate measures. His total lack of empathy for those on the boundary of LTNs is insane.
