R&D investment is obviously important and fuels the SaaS business model, but that spend should be more carefully allocated, tracked and measured, according to Max and Jason. Give it a read and let us know what you think.

Compare that to 40% of revenue allocated to sales and marketing expenses, which are much more closely monitored and tracked with metrics like NDR, CAC, etc!.
