For me, without the trustlessness and true decentralization the whole point in crypto and bringing the world on chain is lost. We're just web2/tradefi but worse with extra steps. In other words, it's Ethereum or nothing. Don't get psyoped venture capitalists.

To date, the market cap of tokenized assets on @ethereum has set the floor for ETH's market cap. The more assets that get tokenized (incl. stablecoins), the more ETH's market cap benefits. Tokenization gud.

The same BTC whale, who had been holding 56,816 BTC ($6B) in dormant wallets, just moved 10,000 BTC ( $1.08B) to a new wallet and sent 1,000 BTC ( $108M) to Hyperliquid, where it is currently rotating into ETH. This is the first tx on that address in over 5 years.

Here is the blind spot with this analysis. A blockchain is just a database. The issue many financial institutions suffer is counterparty risk. ( How do I know that the other person or corporate is gonna keep their side of the bargain). This is essentially what are credibly
L2 thesis is dead. Tether, Stripe, Circle all launching their own L1s to compete with Ethereum. Rollup security guarantees don’t matter when you’re using fiat stablecoins or other RWAs. Because those assets are centralized anyway.
