4th generation farmer in NW Indiana. I was born at a very young age. Undefeated at four-way stops. Not taking life for granted.... RIP DAC 3/29/14, KBD 11/4/18
This little fourth grader was one of my biggest supporters as I went through high school basketball, and he was even nice enough to make a sign for me on my senior night 8 years ago.
Today it felt only right that I return the favor and bring a sign to him on his senior night!
For years I’ve tried to get my phone synced with the radios in our cabs and have never figured it out. My wife came and rode with me yesterday and figured it out in 10 minutes 😂
That being said, there’s been lots of
@PardonMyTake
on the radio today!

My brother rarely mows on the farm; he doesn’t enjoy it and he isn’t particularly great at it. That being said, today he had some fun with his rare mowing opportunity 😂
Happy Mother’s Day to this beautiful momma-to-be! She stayed in the tractor with me until midnight last night to help me finish a field! Our baby and I love you so much!

Let it be known that OSU is undefeated in first half scoring in games that I attend AND take a selfie with Mark Titus.
(And if you’re wondering how the conversation went before this selfie:
Me: “Sir are you Mark Titus?”
Mark: “I don’t know, maybe. Are you a cop??”)😂😂😂

I owe you the world, George. My wife’s boyfriend was trying to repossess the new 1998 Toyota Camry I just bought but thanks to you, I get to keep it.
As our combine operator, the only person in the fall that I curse out more than the grain cart driver is the planter man.
The big problem with that, is that our planter man *is* our combine operator 🤦🏼

I’ve been delegating a lot of tasks this week and I think it’s safe to say that dad hasn’t liked the jobs I’ve given him these last two days. Good help is hard to come by, mine keeps complaining!!! 😂😂

From my kids:
Uncle George,
Thank you so much for allowing us Christmas presents this year. It’s the first time in 6 years that we will receive gifts.
Rest In Peace, my brother. Keegan will forever be remembered as the hardest working, most driven young man I have ever met. He was an extension of our family and I am so grateful for the time I had with him.
Got all the bugs worked out (hopefully) this afternoon on the planter and the finisher.
The finisher is new and is equipped with TruSet. We’ve never had TruSet in the past, does anyone have any tips, pointers, or comments for operating it?
I’m guessing that this will not be a popular opinion on here, but I think one of the worst parts of working on Sundays is that the local country radio station broadcasts the NASCAR race all day 👎🏼

Thanks so much George, I was just wondering what to do with all the money in my 401k. Why settle for 7-8% annually when I can just parlay these three picks and retire early. You’re the best, George!
About an hour before we started 2019 planting, Dad, Dalton and I were all in the south shed. In the shed, I noticed a cardinal and was lucky enough to get a video. There is no doubt in my mind that this was grandpa Dean paying us a visit and making sure we were ready to plant!
Nothing compares to working at the home farm. The half-section was homesteaded in the 1940’s and my twin brother and I are the 4th generation here. It is an honor and a privilege!
What I wouldn’t do to have had great-granddad in the cab with me today….
Changing the hydraulic fluid on this beast today.
9 drain plugs, 5 filters, 3 sump screens, and nearly 60 gallons of fluid.
Hope I didn’t forget to reinstall a drain plug somewhere 😂
After a 25-day hiatus (since 4/27), planting finally resumes for us! Time to knock out those last 8-10% of acres that have been patiently waiting 😂

I can never repay my wife for what she went through to grow our family from 2 to 3. She created a perfect little miracle and went through all the pain that comes with delivering that miracle. My whole world is in this photo ❤️
We welcomed our little boy into this world at 5:46 yesterday afternoon. He is absolutely perfect. We love you so much already, Brooks!
