I support the movement to prevent #Bigtech from exploiting teens, but harms to #babies shouldn’t be ignored. @DanWuori @Surgeon_General @RepDeSaulnier

Big study: curiosity is an important predictor of acad achievemt across the board but esp. for low-income kids: https://t.co/DKjk9NYHIu. Painfully ironic given the curiosity-killing practices (scripted direct instruction, behavior management, etc.) that such kids get in spades.

Powerful visual of today's press conference for the reintroduction of the Kids Online Safety Act #KOSA that brought together parents who have lost children to the harms of social media, medical experts, and youth leaders.

Psychologist Susan Linn's book argues that big tech corporations have created harmful computer technologies that lure children to digital devices, training them to grow up to become uncritical consumers. Read Dr. Mark Ellingsen's review of her work below: https://t.co/M7JVZNEEm3

I'm exciting about this conversation! #BIGTech hurts kids by coming between them and parents while devices are marketed as improving family life. Spoiler alert: They don't!
