I’m starting a policy team at @GovAI_. We aim to do rigorous analysis of what influential actors like governments and AI labs should do in the next few years to prepare the world for more advanced AI capabilities. We’ll also work to make those recommendations a reality.

The US depends on unreliable foreign sources for many of the strategic and critical materials necessary for the clean energy transition — such as lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite, and manganese for large-capacity batteries. https://t.co/i3Yb00BUhH

The statements following the EU-China summit made clear that it was a frosty meeting. There was little agreement between the two sides and the conversation was far from being “business as usual”. A frank exchange of opposing views. Systemic rivalry is a new reality. 1/6

NEW - Ukraine has officially started using Clearview facial recognition technology. It’s identifying dead Russian soldiers, finding contacts for their family and friends and informing them of the death. But what if the software misidentifies a soldier? https://t.co/w6oxy8faNk
