Intifada is an Arabic word that means uprising against oppression. It doesn’t mean “Kill Jews.” This language distorts and creates the room for more violence. Palestinians who have been thrown out of their homes have the right to resist belligerent occupation.
The curriculum also glorifies “intifada” in it’s K-3 curriculum. Intifada, in the specific context of Israel, means killing Jews via stabbing, bombing, or other means.
