Well deserved my friend and mentor. Thank you for all you have done for patients. A role model colleague and family man!.
Congratulations to my mentor, boss, friend, and hero @CarloDiLorenzo1 on winning the #NASPGHAN22 Shwachman Award. No tweet will capture how much he has meant to me as a physician and person - and I know so many others would say the same. 🙏. And masterful intro by @johnbarnardmd!

#herecomes2021. Do not let your guard down and we will get through this!.
Increases in hand washing in hospitals during the pandemic, especially wen schools were closed, were not sustained over time. Behavior change is hard! Are you still washing your hands frequently?.

So important in these times when you are on back to back virtual meetings to get even a few minutes to exercise for better body and mind!.
New government guidelines say you can get your exercise in small doses - The Washington Post. Get brisk physical activity every day! Even if only for a few minutes.

Another example where a multidisciplinary approach has dramatically improved outcomes over the past 10 years!.

Medications are only the tip of the pyramid. Addressing diet, sleep, and social situation at home, work or school are the middle of the pyramid. The strongest part of the pyramid is the base. It is the foundation of successful therapy integrating coping and behavioral approaches.
I dont think we should think of meds or diet as mutually exclusive. They along with behavioral therapies are all evidence based options. Often pts need more than 1!!.
