Sometimes, these exchange visits are just a huge biosecurity threat. Why you need to be poultry free for at least two weeks & screened for salmonella b4 you get access to farms like @irvineszim. Biosecurity is a non-negotiable, let's guide the farmers appropriately.
As we continue to learn from each other, IPVC recently organized a Poultry Business Association exchange visit. Members of our Mutare PBA visited some members of our Harare PBA in an expedition to share good agricultural practices #StrongerTogether

A 'Freemartin' is a female that is born as a twin with a male & is sterile as a result of exposure to masculinizing hormones produced by the male. Exposure to male hormones leads to underdvpt of the female's reproductive tract. >90% of females born co-twin to male r infertile.
Experience is the best teacher: Heifers born from twins pack with a bull are guaranteed to be infertile.Simple English...If your cow gives birth to a male and a female twin the female will be infertile. Keep record and sell that female (heifer) don’t waste grazing and money🙏🏽🔌

Spray races are also less stressing for livestock than plunge dips, which is important for pregnant cows, calves and otherwise weaker animals. Through funding from @UKinZimbabwe and the support from the @DVSZim we are constructing Spray races across 12 Districts in Zimbabwe.
