My parents’ road had their first coffee morning today.
Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 10:30am people stand outside their front doors with a cup of coffee and catch up over fences or across the road whilst maintaining their distance.

No need for clerking as ED reviews are excellent. The few non-COVID admissions are clerked by SHO who has time to get a full history. Consultants seeing all admissions straight away.

Best option is to bleep the med reg at around 23:30 to flag the result
1/ Platelets ‘leak’ potassium when they are taken into a blood tube. If they are left for a long period before being analysed or if the patient has a very high platelet count, pseudo-hyperkalaemia can occur. This can be to levels over 6 and so...
