Put NCAA womens sporting events on TV - the main channels - stop making people pay extra, on top of their cable/streaming packages to view NCAA womens events, and then claim there is no interest. Broadcast the events in exciting ways - there is a market, stop suppressing it

ESPN2 is broadcasting the College Cornhole Championships tonight. So ESPN is investing in activities that have low participant numbers such as Drone Racing, Axe Throwing, and Cornhole while ALL of women’s athletics coverage hovers around 5% of content on the networks.

ESPN is promoting the XFL like crazy. There’s zero proof (based on previous lower level pro-football leagues) the XFL is worth this type of promotion/investment. But they’re doing it, because they hope it will generate increased fandom. Just as they should do with women’s sports.

The USWNT only out-earned the men because they won multiple FIFA World Cups and Olympic gold medals. The USWNT CBA is lower than the men’s because we exist in a biased and discriminatory society that deliberately undervalues and discourages women from obtaining their true value

The mandatory menstrual reporting in Florida in order to compete in a sport appears to be a direct violation of Title IX due to sex discrimination in federally funded settings. Boys do not have the same violations of privacy to compete. The federal government needs to intervene.

Preferences do not develop in isolation: when a network promotes women’s sporting events and provides easy access for viewers on mainstream channels, folks tune in. It’s really that simple.

The men athletes are fighting for pay and NIL changes (rightfully so) while women athletes are still having to fight for adequate facilities and weights. That’s the state of sport. That’s privilege - the men athletes have the time and energy to fight for NIL changes #ncaaw

This is true leadership. Leaders work for others - not the other way around. This is the Atlanta chief of police showing empathy, compassion, concern and most importantly - listening. This woman deserved her chance to share her anger, fear, concerns and we need to take direction.

As a professor, I can tell you that we do not teach a radical, left, destructive ideology in higher ed. Rather, we employ methods to develop critical thinking in our students - aka assist them in establishing their own educated opinions based on credible research and discovery

So, no, mens sport did not organically erupt into the business it is today. Preferences do not develop in isolation of investments. Mens sport has been consistently made a priority and - often - due to fear that womens sport would somehow take away monetarily from mens sport
