The events unfolding in Haiti are heartbreaking. Love and solidarity to those suffering and I pray the revolutionary ethos and values of 1804 return to enable liberation for all Haitians. Email me if you would like to create educational resources on Haiti (past and present).

If you wonder why people keep making comments like this about Diane Abbott, it's because the political and media class have normalised her abuse. Even way this article is written shows that. 1/3 https://t.co/TtN6M13syH

Please read and share the commentary. If you can, take a moment to explore the extensive reference list. The RACE group has also collated resources on Palestine - links provided below.

Our closing message in the paper is clear: stop the military aggression on Gaza; lift the siege & advocate for a free Palestine. Now is not a time for equivocation or silence. Palestinians, both in Palestine & in exile, need robust support & solidarity.

A big thanks to everyone who has read Gaza: A decolonial geography https://t.co/MAIAnf0R1c authored with @Zena_Agha @casesofyou @EarthWriting where we set understandings of recent events unfolding in Gaza within a geographical and historical context.

Still very upset about the news. While unions don't have a control over where pay increase comes they should in the loudest sense condemn this government move. Union leadership must come out and publicly reject any pay rise which sows division among the labour movement.

All migrants, including striking university staff, will bear the burden of these costs. Their fees & their dependents will double. Many unis do not reimburse the costs. It will force people out of the country and certainly off the picket lines. The proposal must be challenged!
One of the most right wing governments in history have today been forced to honour pay review body recommendations for public sector workers. This puts UCEA under massive pressure ahead of our meeting tomorrow. They must improve their offer.

I'm logging off. I'm getting angrier by the minute. Union leaders celebrating this pay rise should be ashamed of themselves and it shows they or loved ones have never gone through an immigration process so can never fully understand the violence this inflicts upon us migrants.

Sivanandan was a remarkable scholar-activist. Brilliant perspectives on anti-racist praxis. Looking forward to listening to this podcast. Big thanks to @TwmCarnabwth in @DecoloniseGeog for flagging.

Very apt description! Insightful and fascinating discussion (as always) by Prof Daley. The @antipodeonline series is well worth a read.

It was a short but sweet #GAConf23 for me. But completely agree with @DecoloniseGeog about the contributions I saw in-person and virtually. Already looking forward to #GAConf24. Big thanks and well done to @AlastairHackney and @The_GA staff and volunteers
There have been many powerful contributions across #GAConf23, too much for one tweet. Vital discussions of racialisation, racism, marginalisation, justice & representation were front and centre @shabnabegum76 @RunnymedeTrust @patnoxolo @AlastairHackney @rikjaz @DrJesson
