I'm so thrilled to announce I've signed as academic faculty at the University of Sydney @Sydney_Uni as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor equivalent) in the School of Biomedical Engineering. My lab will study clinical and preclinical stimulation therapy in epilepsy!

Could we more effectively drive brain network changes (to prevent future seizures) by targeting stimulation to periods when the brain is more capable of adapting? Can we more effectively use neuromod in a disease-modifying capacity rather than as a "defibrillator"?

Even though I picked the "right" career as an engineer, choosing the academic route made this loan payoff burdensome, and I had to forgo things like home-ownership due to my debt. It was terrifying while I was getting my PhD how quickly my loans were accruing (2/3)

For the first time since I was 18, my student loan balance just hit $0 after having nearly $80k from my undergraduate loans. In addition to aggressive payments I made on my private loans during grad school, I had 3 years of the @NIH_LRP @NINDSfunding in my post-doc. (1/3)
