Today Aus (Ahpra) announced a fast-track registration process for Irish-trained specialists (GPs, anaesthesia, obs & gynae, psychiatry) seeking to move to Aus. In 2024, 624 Irish doctors (mostly non-specialists) obtained Aus work visas. IRL needs a policy on #DrRetention +return

A cancer diagnosis is one of those Friend-Filtration moments in life, like wedding guest lists, babies getting christened (or not) and abortion referenda. It often rearranges the people around you into Those Who Are With You and Those Who Are Not Quite Able At This Time.
