I might just retweet this every day forever - it is SO important that doctors experience the positive effects of having a GP. Self care + Primary care = Healthy Doctor

Remember: ✅Screening is for people who are well - if you have worrying symptoms, visit your GP 😢Uptake of bowel screening is low - please encourage everyone in the age range to do the test 😊If you do it once, it is much easier next time round! 💩Bowel cancer is shite, trust me

Health services usually look at high DNA (did not attend) rates as being the "fault" of patients. Wouldn't it be great if the service was planned to suit its users, and adapted to their needs?

@med_indonews @SarahFitzWiMIN @HSELive Sarah all so true. Big bugbear for me if I have to change time, cannot get hold of secretary on the phone. Surely unnecessary stressor for pts; & resource waster for hospitals. We need a sociologist to help us do better😉. Don’t get me started on snail mail appointment letters..

@SarahFitzWiMIN @med_indonews @HSELive And usually a variety of reasons for no-show - sick (or admitted to another hospital) on day and couldn't notify in time, thought were for a phone call, couldn't get through to change appt, forgot, unexpected transport issue and the odd not wanting to come.

Cervical screening is for people without symptoms. If you notice bleeding between periods, unusual discharge, pain during sex, or persistent pelvic pain - don’t wait for your next screening. Go to your GP and get the right care for you: https://t.co/u19HXD5I1H

Healthcare services can continue to insist on driving to a schedule that suits them, but only a few people will be able to keep up. The others will either choose a different route, or crash out entirely.

I fear that my give-a-shit levels may be heading for an all time low. There is a very real danger that I could just start saying exactly what I think. Duck!!!!

How do we live our lives to the fullest, without killing ourselves in the process? Maybe lying on your bed in grubby pyjamas scrolling through TikTok is actually just as important as paddling along a palm-fringed beach with your perfectly dressed children shrieking in delight
