ChatGPT o1 is now actually solving PhD-level chemistry problems! For example, it proposes the correct mechanism for the exchange of oxygen atoms in [Ru(CO)6]+ in 18O-labeled water. The only thing that holds it back is the limited ability to work with structural formulas.
