What a great idea!.
The school year always seems to start with a rush—meet-the-teacher nights, new schedules, endless to-dos. In my latest @BustedHalo piece, I share how our family found peace in a Back-to-School Examen. ✨.👉

I love the images in @verilymag . Beautiful, real women (not photoshopped) who look as if they are flourishing, not wasting weakly away -- and articles that match this authenticity. Well done with this issue!.
Lovely inside and out—our latest Leisure Issue is here. ✨ . It’s filled with essays, interviews, and ideas to help you breathe a little deeper and savor what matters most. Perfect for pairing with a cozy cup of coffee (or tea) and an unhurried morning.

I loved this episode!.
Are you listening to the Christians Reading Classics podcast @mereorthodoxy? I recently had the delight of talking with historian John Fry and literature scholar @LuElla_DAmico about Laura Ingalls Wilder. More information today at John's blog and below.

I enjoyed talking with @AveAfternoon about my recent piece on school choice @PublicDiscourse . If your local public school does not serve children well, what choices do you have?.We talked $, teaching, the history of school choice, and the inadequacy of so many public schools.

This'll be the highlight of the season @ChristendomVA ! Can't wait for this talk by my dear friend @NadyaWilliams81 .
Because of family responsibilities (homeschooling!) and various other obligations, I generally limit speaking engagements to two per semester. But I love sharing my ideas with others and really looking forward to giving this lecture @ChristendomVA Sept. 10th!

Let's help kids read whole, thought-out thoughts (books, stories, etc.), rather than snippets! Excellent from @IvanaDGreco .
Honored to have an essay in @thedispatch today on why students aren’t reading whole books, how parents can bridge the gap if schools are dropping the ball, and my pitch for why to read books.

I'm having so much fun reviewing the copyedits on my book! The whole publishing process has been so fascinating and I can't wait to look back on it and think it through. There are probably a million essays in this experience, and the first one I intend to write, when the time.

These are solvable problems, and homeschooling gives parents the flexibility to find solutions. Solutions that might. actually lead to proficiency in math. Unlike the 2/3 of 8th graders (right before these HS classes!) in conventional schools who are not proficient in math. It's.
@kristenrudd So you’re going to homeschool your kid in Advanced Calculus, Trigonometry and Analytical Geometry when they are in HS, or pay for a full time tutor.
