I’m not sure how not even considering separation of powers/deference to co-equal branches equities really helps matters for the judiciary here. Fine if there is just cause to not notify the precise Senator but branch to branch respect requires some sort of communications
So you know: Without seeing the request for the gag order, I can't yet evaluate whether it should have issued or not. However, the language in it about destruction of evidence, tampering, or hindering of an investigation is boilerplate. It's what the statute says.
