Neo-soul is Black music. There's so much of our cultural identity in those songs. The genre was built by folks like D'Angelo, Angie Stone, Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott, Raphael Saadiq, Maxwell, Erykah Badu, etc, so to lose two of them in one year is absolutely devastating.
