*Everybody* I know, including all the Conservative voters and nimby protesters in my division, want compulsory solar panels on new build roofs. Labour, LD, Green voters, maybe even Reform, if they haven't been dragged down a conspiracy tunnel. How can we not be doing this? Still?

Requiring solar panels on new homes should be a no-brainer. Labour should not cede to pressure from developers who want to reduce costs New homes must be fit for the future. That means super high insulation, energy-efficient heating, and solar as standard https://t.co/xKRlgQULQG

There are 48 Local Nature Recovery Strategies in preparation across England. We think every single one should prioritise the built environment as a key habitat. Otherwise where will our red-listed urban bird species such as Swift nest in years to come? https://t.co/WdJHMfVVN0

This is very disappointing and, at the end of the day, it's a false economy... ...because nature friendly farming boosts the economy, reduces flood risk, supports food production, and is good for the nation's health https://t.co/DrYA1ye5ip

Identifying where Swifts nest in a town such as Buxton is a tremendous feat and the team at @bca1967 should be proud of what they've achieved...wait until you see the results from 2024! https://t.co/HazhMA5vGw

Important numbers of Swifts nest each year in Buxton’s buildings. 90 nests were located in 2023 – this represents the highest number of nests counted in any Derbyshire town. But Swifts have suffered...
