I'm so glad normies hate AI. I was afraid everyone was going to rush in and make it popular and reddit. it's supposed to be kind of wicked and strange! You're trying to capture the soul of humanity and put it in a box and make it do your bidding. You're a weird little freak!
We still really underrate the large amount of hostility a lot of people have towards anything AI-related This is very underpriced in current politics

I am an environmentalist and concerned about climate change, which is why I support nuclear power, megacities, geoengineering, GMOs, and AI. You will assume I am an idiot or a dilettante but I didn't come to this lightly. I was involved in climate activism for many years,

If you're prompting for edits to anything, like code or text or images, You can get a lot of mileage out of the token "idiomatic"

which living sf author is the most "normal" about AI, for lack of a better term
@deepfates i think sci-fi authors are suffering the same shell-shock the rest of the ai field is suffering from, they all desperately want there to be some clever trick or realization on sublimating into agi(godhood let's be honest) but the answer(at least to a certain type of person) looks

In a way this is like a reverse hyperstition. If people stop believing in transformative AI, the bubble pops, then we automate a ton of capability overhang and suddenly we have transformative AI

There's a spirit of revival stirring in America. Dinesh D'Souza's new film, The Dragon's Prophecy, is part of that movement. Based on Jonathan Cahn's No.1 bestseller, the film reveals how war, politics and the Bible converge in a way that we need to make a choice. Watch on GJW+.

actually crazy how good the voice mode is. You can hear it getting nervous and confused and wanting to get away from him

Possibly counterintuitive point here is that companies are more likely to replace labor with automation during a recession. We might see a situation where an AI investment bubble pops and suddenly everybody gets laid off and replaced with AI
it may take some large macro shock event for automation to impact big corp computer jobs quickly, otherwise it may be somewhat slow. for optics reasons i think large companies can get away with maybe 5-10% *max* for trimming orgs down in normal times. because of ai specific

I am Dylan Alvarez. I think if you ask around you would be hard-pressed to find a person who is more Dylan Alvarez than I am. If there is such an individual I would love to meet them
@deepfates bro thinks he's dylan alvarez

if you can't make it to church tomorrow, at least read this deepfates post
People ask me how I got so much lore. The answer is easy: Adventuring. Doing quests. I started adventuring when I was a teenager (at that age they call it being a delinquent). I didn't like school so I packed a bag and started hitchhiking around the country. Rode trains, went
