Had a wonderful lab alumni dinner at a Southern Thai food restaurant in Hollywood. Thanks to my former students @PriyankaDogra07 @DebapriyaIISERM @AnamikaAvni @AshishJ87810510 & my better half @MilyBhLab joining us for an exciting dinner tonight. Looking forward to #BPS2025.
Arrived in Los Angeles after 35 h. A technical snag delayed the Delhi-San Francisco flight. Managed to get the LA connection. Mt. Fuji (flew over Japan) & LA downtown before/after landing. Tonight I'm hosting my lab alumni dinner in Hollywood before #BPS2025 kick-starts tomorrow.

I was honored to chair Biophysical Society's Intrinsically Disordered Protein Subgroup Symposium in Los Angeles. Thanks to all the speakers/participants for making the program scientifically stimulating. I handed over the baton to Lucia Chemes, who will organize the 2026 meeting.

Today Sayanta defended his PhD thesis with flying colors! Congratulations, Dr. Sayanta Mahapatra @SayantaIISERM🎉 His thesis work aimed at elucidating the mechanism of chaperone-mediated prion-like propagation of a yeast prion. He published 2 papers in JBC (one co-corresponding).
